Less to Lose Category
Collette B.
And here we come to the end of the annual 60-Day Challenge. What a great experience it has been.
The month of May was one filled with BWO+ (Basic Workout Plus) every other day and lots of walking. It was so great to revel in the consistency and share how terrific it made me feel. As a “less to lose” I wasn’t expecting much in the way of inch loss, but was looking forward to giving it my best shot.
And then June rolled around. And with it came summer vacations, changes in schedules, changes in employment, changes in life. Suddenly even doing a short 15 minute workout seemed overwhelming. I moved to an EOOD (Every Other Other Day) schedule for the most part. June brought an average of 3 workouts each week, but I never did manage to move on to any of the other workouts. Brushing has become such an integral part of my life that I rarely missed doing it, even when I wasn’t working out with the regularity I had originally planned. And naturally not a day goes by that I don’t take my BBB Premium Blended Alfalfa.
Around the forums, there has been lots of talk about Teresa’s God Made / Man Made plan. I’ve never tried it – convinced I could remain “skinny” without dieting. True, I can remain skinny... but I can’t remain healthy! I finally decided, in the final 30 days of the challenge, to give it an honest try. What a surprise to find that it works! In connection with the workouts, I was seeing even MORE energy and vitality than before.
As with all good things, the Challenge had to come to an end. And, as usual, it was bitter sweet. Previous participants and winners often comment that with the end of the challenge, they missed that extra push to remain consistent and I worried that I would fall prey to that. So I have decided to continue my own private mini challenges to keep myself going.
And, of course, it was time for the dreaded photos and measuring.
I took a deep breath, put on my workout clothes, conscripted my husband to help me, and did the dirty deed. Imagine my delight when I found that an EOD and EOOD schedule of BWO+ (with maybe 2 SATI thrown in for good measure) resulted in an inch loss of 16.75!!! And making some simple changes to my food intake, focusing more on God Made and less on Man Made resulted in a loss of 9 pounds!
I continue to be amazed at the way this deceptively simple routine works WITH your body to heal all that ails you from the inside and the outside. Tightening, toning, improving digestion, allowing deeper sleep in less time, improved moods, nearly non-existent PMS. Since turning 50 last year, I am constantly on the lookout for signs of Peri-Menopause, but so far, nothing. I’m hoping with the amazing processes of T-Tapp, one day I will simply discover that I skipped Peri altogether and am now “on the other side”.
I would certainly love to win the Challenge and represent the “Less to Lose” category at the Retreat this year. In particular because there is word this may be the final time this event is held. I had just begun Tapping last year as the Retreat was getting into full swing, so missed out on it, but the knowledge and lasting friendships those who attended participated in makes me anxious to be involved this year. I want to drink in that atmosphere and be able to bring that back to my friends and family.
One final word of thanks to Teresa and all her amazing staff for all they continue to do each day to help those around them. They work so tirelessly and selflessly – I continue to be amazed at this organization. Truly one to be proud of being associated with, even in a small way.
Thank you Teresa!
