Alaina T.

Kalhwa7acw nsnekwnukw7a - Hello my friends,

My name is Alaina, I am an indigenous woman from the St'at'imc Tribe in the Pacific North West. I am a stay at home mother of 4. I was introduced to T-Tapp at the age of 16, by a friend who came across the workout online. We started doing the workout together and we both had immediate results! Needless to say, we enjoyed our toned bodies and continued to workout together throughout the years. At the age of 20 I gave birth to my first daughter, when she was 5 months old I began my T-Tapp routine. I quickly learned that it was gentle enough to start doing regularly. There was no soreness or tenderness. I felt healthier, stronger and it also helped me eat better, for nursing my baby. There are so many other benefits from this work out, not just inch loss. Women in my family were amazed at how I got my shape back after the baby, I was back in my old jeans by the time she was 9 months old.

After my second child I (we) suffered greatly from depression and fatigue. I was at a hard place in my life and began eating a bad diet that affected my moods, health and mental state significantly. I did not do T-Tapp for over a year and it showed. I was having a hard time getting out of bed, and even walking to the store. I decided I wanted to re locate and start over. I did. I also knew that I just needed to pop in the T-Tapp videos and "get it over with." I did. Just as I knew it would, my energy levels went back up and I even felt "happier." Once again, the weight started to drop off and I was feeling back to my normal self and working out regularly. I had another child, 2 years later, and this time I took my time, and incorporated swimming, walking, stretching, and basketball into my workout routine.

After my last child was born, my only son, I had a very difficult time managing my weight. I was extremely fatigued, surviving a separation and beginning single parenthood. I thought certainly I won’t have "time" to workout now.

I was starting to fall back into depression and I knew deep down that all I needed to do was START the workout again. It was a light at the end of a LONG tunnel. This past December, 2010, I suddenly became severely ill with a mysterious leg injury. It just stopped working, as if it had seized up. I could not walk, pick up things off the floor, do laundry or even stand on it long enough to cook dinner. I went to the emergency room and they could not find anything wrong with me only sending me home with painkillers. For 3 weeks I lied on the couch crying and praying that it would get better. The dishes and laundry piled up, I knew I had to do something; I could not just lie around and wait for my ultra sound appointment in 3 weeks. I visited my friend, Gina, who had given me the T-Tapp tapes over 10 years ago and she gave me one of her DVDs, step away the inches, (an old favorite of mine). Immediately I got myself up, prayed like I’ve never prayed before, and fought through the stiffness and pain to complete the workout. That night I slept very well and I knew that I had to stick to it. That is when I heard of the January Jumpstart Program. I wasn't able to walk properly yet, but I thought to myself, if by the end of January I can start walking and moving properly, I may be able to join this challenge.

I've always wanted to join a T-Tapp challenge, but now it was more urgent than ever. I felt like it would save my life. I've never had an injury like this one before, where the pain was unbearable. I started getting regular massages and did everything I could to increase circulation and when the time came, I registered with the January Jumpstart Challenge for the first time. I'm 5'7, I was about 170 pounds and my waist was about 38 inches around, I was having a hard time fitting any of my clothes anymore, since I had literally been laying in bed for the past month and a half, it was very hard, I'm used to being very mobile and chasing after my young children all day. I was extremely nervous, I’m not very thorough with "completing" projects, but I felt like this could change my whole life, and it did. I began with the basic workout plus hoedowns, every single day, and then went back and forth between the Basic Workout Plus and Step it to the Max each day. After 17 workouts I noticed SOME inch loss but I have to admit I was a little disappointed because I was not losing what I would typically lose in the past. I decided to cut out "domesticated" meats from my diet, and rely solely on our traditional foods, such as moose, deer, salmon, elk and caribou meat. I cut down to one cup of coffee in the morning, IF I needed it and stopped using sugar, replacing it with honey. I started doing "Organs in Place" and that helped A LOT. It seems in the last week, the inches started melting away and I was finally seeing the results I had hoped for. After about 30 days, and 27 workouts, I had lost approximately 13 inches overall and 6 inches off my waist. I went from a 38 inch waist to a 32 inch waist in 30 days of T-Tapp.

For the past 12 years I have been telling my friends ALL about this workout, asking them to stop wasting money on expensive weight sets and gym memberships, you can do this AT HOME, you never have to leave your children, and my children LOVE doing the workouts with me! Now I don’t have to worry about squeezing into my old jeans, I need to get a smaller pair. I don't know what else I can say about this workout except it changed (saved) my life, increased my circulation, increased my energy levels, I’m sleeping better and some people I haven't seen in a while, look twice because they don't recognize me. I’ve even been told I’m getting too skinny!

I can’t thank Teresa enough, she has gotten me through some of the hardest, lowest times in my life and I am forever grateful for all her hard work and for sharing this gift with us all. I love T-TAPP. Kukwstumclhkal'ap, thank you all for listening.
