My name is Diana H. Melynda Fitt (one of your trainers) is my sister-in-law. In 2005 Melynda helped me get T-Tapp More, the body brush system, the R&R skin oil, alfalfa, fibertox & hit the floor. I'm embarrassed to say that it was used only a few times because I felt it was too difficult for my body. I'm disabled and have Chronic Venus Insufficiency which makes it so that the major two valves in the tops of my leg allow the blood to flow backwards (down). It is like a plumbing problem. Some pregnant women experience similar leg problems.
When I was first diagnosed with this condition in 1990, I was told I would probably never walk more than 10 feet again. I've built up my endurance over the years. Now, my life is spent jetting from thing to thing because walking is more comfortable than standing. When I need to sit down or go distance, I use an electric scooter for mobility. I've got four beautiful children (three boys and a little girl) 14, 8, 5, and 17 months. I've got 2 children with special needs so running around is what I do best. ;)
I've struggled with being overweight since I was engaged and took estrogen shots for several months (when I was 26 years old). The first week, I gained 10 pounds. The next week I gained 10 pounds. The next week I gained 10 more pounds. Same doctor's scale. By this time the "you really shouldn't be gaining this much weight" answer wasn't working for me. As they sorted through what to do, I continued quickly gaining. With having a baby, it wasn't hard to get to 220 which is where I've been for years...add a few pounds per child. 255 has been my max (without being pregnant).
As I've built up, I've done Zumba because it makes my heart happy ~ I love the music. Enter T-Tapp. I figured if I can jump around doing Zumba, surely I'd worked up to being able to do T-Tapp. So, I gave it another spin.
July 2nd my husband and I started our first bootcamp with the T-Tapp More program. He is a soldier and has minimal to loose. I'm in the "need to loose 100" range. The workouts made us both break out in a sweat.
On day 8, I looked down and thought, "Where did my stomach go?!" Usually I do not have a problem loosing my stomach. It sticks out 4 inches past my breasts ~ there is no mistaking it. But it was GONE from it's normal position. Every time I am pregnant, my "guts" stick out. Everyone assumes it is the baby and want to touch it...they are really touching my guts. LOL T-Tapp pulled that stomach area together in 8 days. Amazing!
On June 28th, I started Weight Watchers at 249. I'm busy enough that I forget to eat...I like the little smily faces they give me for drinking my water, taking my vitamins, eating all my veggies. Today I was 235.
Regardless of the weight, my stomach shrunk 4 visible inches in 8 days. Has Zumba ever done that? I'm hooked.
Everywhere I go, I tell people about T-Tapp...I just show them how to find their shoulder width, put them in position have them do a few butterflies and they are hooked. Last week I even showed the manager of our local Red Lobster by the lobster tanks!
I've now got the T-Tapp More tapes. I'm seriously scared to death of the 45 minute instructional video. The basic one floored me...but, I could still walk/function the next day.
Your staff have been offering T-Tapp therapy (Jennifer is amazing) & have helped me know what to do step by step. My time is always later in the evening when I can call. Tonight I was thinking I should try to muscle through the 45 minute tape. (The more is better mentality.) When I called, I spoke with Lauren who told me I could still get results with the 15 minute Basic workout. I'm so relieved/grateful/appreciative/delighted/flabbergasted. THANK YOU SO MUCH!! My little sister some serious health issues and she is starting too. I've even offered to do workouts on skype to help her. :)
Even though I'm just at the beginning of my "Yes You Can" journey, I wanted to say thank you for the amazing results I've had in such a short time. Thank you!
:) Diana H.
p.s. My yoga pants are starting to hang loosely on my legs! :)
Update (9/15/11): Since I originally wrote my success story , I've lost over ten pounds more ~ 25.8 pounds total lost in 8 weeks and still going strong (still have just under 80 to lose). I've had two different sizes of pants fall off of me IN 8 WEEKS. Unreal. LOVE LOVE LOVE T-Tapp! |
